John Kennes is currently Associate Professor at the School of Economics and Management, University of Aarhus. He grew up in Canada and received his PhD from the University of Western Ontario in 1996. His research and areas of interest are in labor economics, monetary economics, family economics and the economics of asymmetric information. He is a core scientific member of the Centre for Applied Microeconometrics, Centre for Industrial Economics and the Labor Market Dynamics Group. He has publications in international journals such as the Journal of Economic Theory, International Journal of Industrial Organization, International Economic Review, Review of Economic Dynamics, and the Scandinavian Journal of Economics. He is currently working on projects dealing with equilibrium heterogeneity, irreversible investments and matching frictions
